About

My name is Mary Bercy, I am an Africa American born in Newark, New Jersey on yet, mostly raised in Montreal, Quebec. I am the middle child out of six siblings from my late mother’s life experience. I am also the middle child of many siblings, from my father’s life journey. I share several years of marriage with a handsome Dominican. I am blessed to be the mother of four beautiful children whose ages range from 2-13 years old.

My educational path has led me to love education as a tool to mainstream various social, cultural, and other issues. My initial college degree in social science left me with a child studies certificate which prevailed just the beginning of my hunger for this educational journey. I also completed a college degree as a social worker technician which challenged me to embrace the social crisis to be an advocate for change for those who couldn’t voice their power. My early career experience as a palliative care worker enabled me to cherish life every step of the way. After experiencing various systemic issues in the healthcare system, I wanted to help and teach the adult population, therefore I decided to further my skills and knowledge in University and completed an adult education certificate.

Teaching, educating, and coaching became my full-grown passion. My compassion for humanity grew extensively. Therefore, I wanted to honor God for what he has given me “life”, knowledge, experience, and courage to empower, inspire, and love others with my life experiences aka my testimonies.

This blog underlines a faith base journey of my life and other experiences. It expresses the love of God and his purpose in my endeavors. So we walk by faith, not by sight.2 Corinthians 5:7( NKJV). It also shed lights on real life testimonies of amazing warriors to uplift your hope during these difficult times of pandemic in this new 2020 era.

I have “Zero tolerance” for any negative comments and inappropriate criticisms. I welcome any who wish to share their experiences and positive thoughts to embrace the power of our testimonies.

Take into account that a new post will be generated on a regular basis. I welcome open discussions however with a non-judgmental approach.

I am called to …

I am called to love, to teach, to lead and be the by-product of his grace for humanity, and to set captives free. So I ask you; Can you share the same sacrificial love with your actions? The way Jesus paid it all at the cross for our sins. Think about it as you embark on the ship of faith with me. Furthermore, these short stories and poetic testimonies will bring you on an unexpected journey.

  2. It’s a blessing to read of you using your gifts to bless others. Thank you for choosing to follow my blog. I hope it serves to encourage you in your walk. Since you speak of faith, I’d like to ask a question. Don’t feel you have to answer. What is the biggest challenge you have faced in clinging to faith?

    1. Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it and I think it is important for all of us to encourage one another in our walk with God. And yes to answer your questions my biggest challenge I faced is fear; fear to do, fear to be, fear of the unknown and it was as if I wasn’t totally trusting God because of that fear. Even though, I said I am a believer and a Christian but my actions and faith in him did not add up. So he encountered me in many ways to let go of that fear and walk not by sight and trusting in him in the process. Thank you Keep up with your walk at the end it’s worth it.
